Hi Eileen :-)

Record #541
Birth of Maria Caterina Nardozza
Recorded on 28 June 1882 at 9:15 AM at the town office in Avigliano
Before the official appeared Tommaso Nardozza, age 49, tenant farmer of Avigliano to declare that at 3 AM on the 28th of the current month at the place at Contrada Frusci, to Croscenzia Pace(sp?), his wife, peasant farmer, living with him, was born a female child to he presented to the official and to whom was given the name Maria Caterina.
Witness to the recording of this birth were Francesco Gerardi, 22, PF; and Vito Guglielmi, 48, PF.

Notation on the left is the marriage of Maria Caterina Nardozza on 23 April 1904 to Vito Lagonigro(sp?)...

Thank you Tessa. These are folks who stayed in Italy so we really didn't have too much information about them until now.
