Hi:
Thanak you for the info.
I found a ship record for Domenico (Dominick) that lists his arrival Apr 26, 1912 in NY on the Prinzess Irene. It also lists Bellantone as his birth place in Italy. This record seems to fit what we know about Dominick. He arrived two years earlier than Rose. Rose's marriage to Dominick was arranged so she may not have known where he was from and listed her own birth place as his birth place on immigration documents.

Hi!
Italian records are kept at the comune level.

For his parents' names, you could write to the Comune of Laureana di Borrello for the record of his birth in Bellantone

Italian form letter generator with instructions:
http://www.circolocalabrese.org/resourc ... civile.asp

Address:

Ufficio di Stato Civile
Comune di Laureana di Borrello
Piazza Indipendenza

Also, your nearest Family History Center has records for Bellantone for 1809-1865 and Laureana di Borrello for 1809-1910 on microfilm

The cost is about $6 mo each (rent), you’ll need to go to the center to order & view them.
