What is c/c postale, and how to send money

Postby montclaire » 23 Jul 2012, 15:35

I am trying to purchase something and have been given a "c/c postale" number. I have also been given a regular street address if that proves to be too difficult. I know that "postal coupons" have been discussed here for sending euros, but that they may be hard to cash on the receiving end? Any help appreciated.

Are you sending for copies of records? Is it through a archivio or comune?

They want you to pay directly into their Post office bank account. Ask if they accept PAYPAL. If not then it MAY Be possible to do this via the post office website ask for instructions.

With my recent requests to Italy, I send them american cash. While it is a bit risky to put a few bucks in the envelope, given the current state of the economy over there, I think they rather appreciate a stable currency.

Its one thing to send a few dollars to a town office but I assure you it isn't appreciated unless they are planning a trip to USA. It is expensive to exchange a few dollars at a bank here.
Montclair is buying a CD. Who knows how reliable the person **SPAM** is.
