Family Address

Postby brett chamberlain » 26 Jul 2012, 11:47

does anyone know if Italian familys like to live at the same address or area?

I am trying to trace my grandfather and have his family address during the second world war, I am wondering if it would be worth trying local town records if there is such a thing

does any one know Palermo well enough to tell me what office i might need, the address i have is Via Ruggero Loria 1 Palermo

My grandfather was Giuseppe Arnone
his father was Antonino and his mother Giuseppa

Thanks

Brett

Marty, i had looked at google street map already, but thanks for the suggestion

Tessa thats great, i wonder if i can search by the Arnone name?

my main thought was as its 70years since i know the family lived there, if i went to Palermo to that area and asked around do you think its likely someone might remember them, i know my grandperants have lived in the same area all their lives but they live in the country i think it might be different for people who live in a city
