No doubt these are brothers. Also indicates that more then one trip make back and forth to Italy. Father apparently died in LA and you might be able to find those records.
Dear Moby O2 I am very happy that yyou decided to shed your feigned ignorance of genealogy with words that implied limited education with more cogent information and words that were intelligible to people on this forum. I guess it is the weather in Oz that does it. Peter

The first child might have been a daughter so I cannot find her yet. However, by 1910, Frank Sr. is a widow. By 1930, Frank Sr. is apparently dead.
Giuseppe and Frances had one more son between 1920-1930 and that is Giuseppe P. Jr., born 1923 it looks like.
Charles lives next door in 1930 and Nick not far away....
Apparently these arrival dates in this census are probably more accurate since they are closer to the time they occurred. Need to check Ellis Island out for these dates............
i finally found where my dad is from and who his parents were.
my dad's name is michael musso born around 1956, parents were (or still are) Fillip and Jusipina (i think that's how you spell it) Musso, he has 2 brothers named Dominic and Vincenzo, and his grandmother (on mother's side) is Rosalia Tobia and they are from Palermo.
First of all it is Filippo and Giuseppina and there are more than 200 usso surnamed persons in theprovince of Palermo and since you say Palermo without disti nguishing between the city of palermo and the province of palermo pause is dictated until the actual town or village of origin is known if the city of Palermo is not the place origin. Most records are in the city town or village of origin save for several records at the provincial level. Peter
thanks, so what's the difference between the 2 places?
dont worry i just found that out, anyway, i dont know if it was Palermo, because my mum said 'Paloma'(i dont know if thats a actual place)so i checked it out and came up with 'Palomandro, which led me to Lago(cosenza) i dont know what the cosenza means.
What makes this hard for me is that i cant read or speak italian, so any help would be good
Lago is a town/village in the province of Cosenza and the civil records for that place is on micorfilm at the nearest family history library of the mromon church to your home. The records are from 1809 to 1910. The cost is nom, inal and bring along a magnifying glass and you may wish to consider buying the book Discovering Your Italian Ancestors by Lynn nelson. Peter
