Unknown word

Can anyone tell me the translation of an Italian word I keep finding in Italian documents. The word is "volgente" and it is used as an adjective. One example of the word is, "... diciotto del volgente mese di November." I have tried various dictionaries and even goggletranslate to no avail. Thanks for your help.
