Record #11 Dated 7 October 1897 at 9:15 AM at the town office in Pollica Appearing before the official were: 1 - Paolo Romano, age 26, laborer, single, born and residing in Pollica; son of Nicola and of Caterina Niglio, both residing in Pollica AND 2 - Angela Maria Vassallo, age 22, laborer, single, born and residing in Pollica; daughter of Pasquale resident of New York, and of Caterina Carracino, residing in Pollica. Witnesses to the recording of the act were: Raffaele Pepe, age 24, landowner; and Giuseppe Volpe, age 65, landowner. Documents presented to the official included the publication of the banns which were on consecutive Sundays - 26 September last and 3 October, then 3 days later, and which had no opposition to the marriage. Then the official read the present act to all the participants and the witnesses signed with him as the others were illiterate.
