Researching my wife's DiBartolomeo heritage

Postby vtpaul » 15 Feb 2005, 01:03

We are looking for any information on Marianno Fortunato, born in 1846, and married to Dominicio DiBartolomeo. She was brought to America by her son Emidio around 1910 or so. They were from Caramonico. Emidio was born around 1888.

Emidio DiBartolomeo married Concetta Bucci in Amsterdam New York 16 Jan 1908. Her mother was Nunziata D'Atri, married to Carmonie Bucci, also from Caramanico area. Concetta Bucci returned to Italy in 1912, giving birth to Helen DiBartolomeo while there. She then returned to Amsterdam in 1913 with her mother.

Here is a census of the family, 1930

http://img164.exs.cx/img164/6896/emidio0do.jpg
Name:   Emidio Dibartolomeo
Age:   42
Estimated birth year:   abt 1888
Birthplace:   Italy
Relation to head-of-house:   Head
Spouse's Name:   Concettina Dibartolomeo
Race:   White
Home in 1930:   Amsterdam, Montgomery, New York
Image source:   Year: 1930; Census Place: Amsterdam, Montgomery, New York; Roll: 1456; Page:  ; Enumeration District: 15; Image: 412.0.

It also shows that Nunziata Bucci, a widow, immigrated in 1913... so a manifest could be found for that trip.

Emidio immigrated in 1901 - is this correct??. Concietta in 1913 (which isn't correct either...)

but.... the info you are looking for is of Marianna...
