Frank Ruggiero / Irene Decarlo

On records he says he was born in Rhode Island, which is not true. He was born in Italy(no idea where) and was here illegally. When he was visiting relatives in America, (possibly Rhode Island) and it was time to go his father(Pasquale) told his wife (Irene) and oldest son (Vito)to wait on the boat, while he went to get cigarettes. Instead, he left and took Frank with him. His wife and son went back to Italy, while him and Frank stayed in America.
Frank's parents were Pasquale Ruggiero and Irene Decarlo. His brothers named was Victor/Vito. I have no dates for them. The only thing I know are their names.
He married Theresa Mancini(2 children) and Lillian Venturella(1 child.)
I do not know where in Italy he is from. He was born on July 28, 1911 and died July 15, 1988. I got that information from a family book and it matched with a SS number. (If he was here illegally, how did he get a SS number?) His brother Vito also had a son, his name which I don't know.

He was really born in rhode island, not in Italy, these are his birth dates from Ancestry.com:

Thank you guys! You've really helped. I was always told that they were visiting family in Rhode Island and that after Irene and Vito got on the boat, Frank never saw his mother again. I know that Vito would send letters and Frank would send money back to support his mother, since Vito wouldn't. I really appreciate all of this, thank you so much
