DiGieso?

Postby Genquilts » 17 Feb 2005, 09:18

I used the surname website to see where I might find DiGieso family members. That is the spelling of my Mother-in-Laws (MIL) grandmother on her mother's marriage certificate. There were no hits anywhere, so it must have been mispelled. Her mother's name was Nuncia D'urso, imigrated from Toritto, Bari through Ellis Island. Her Marriage Certificate listed her parents as Maria DiGieso and Saverio D'urso. Maria came to the US through Ellis Island sometime after Nuncia did.

Any idea what that sur name migt really be?
