Fairly Inexperienced, looking for Laneri

Postby ScottLaneri » 28 Jun 2013, 18:31

I'm a pretty inexperienced researcher, but I have really wanted to find more on our Laneri line for a long time now. We have very limited information and can only trace our family line back 3 generations.

We are stuck at Peter Laneri. The information we have is that he was born in Italy around 1861 somewhere in Piacenza(we think, and we don't know the specific town), was married to Catherine(we don't know the maiden name), and that he lived in Glastonbury Connecticut for most of his life and he died there in 1955.

If anyone could please help my family and me in taking the next steps in finding information about our family we would be so grateful. Thanks in advance.

Hi Tessa yes, also if... on the first passport that I posted ( with mispelled name) the birthplace was Ozzola... however Coli and Ozzola are very close...
the ship's manifest show Coli and the second passport that you found show Coli also... sothe birthplace could be Coli!
Hugs,

Wow! Thank you so much for the help, I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. It's so wonderful knowing Peter's place of birth and his father's name as well.

Do you have any tips or suggestions on where to go from here? For instance, to find Joseph/Giuseppe's (Peter's father) wife's name, Peter's siblings, and/or Catherine's (Peters wife) maiden name?
