Hi. I wanted to see whether or not anyone might be able to tell me anything about this family or any descendants or ancestors. For the most part, I have names, but not dates for people, which might make it alot more difficult. The parents are Luigi Cusimano and Vincenza Abbate. There were six children: Rosa, who was born in about 1882, although I have no documents that show the exact date. I already know about her family she married a first cousin, Vincenzo Cusimano. I don't know anything about his family. They lived in New York and he died in about 1922. I found a newspaper article about him. The next child is Leonora, who died in the influenza epidemic of 1918. She had a daughter named Vincenza, who was born somewhere around 1916. As far as I know, she's still alive in Castelbuono. Santo Cusimano is the next child. His children were Carmelo, Vincenzo, and Vincenza. Vincenzo Cusimano, whose chilren are Giuseppina, Ninetta, Vincenza (died in May 2013), and Luigi. Nicoletta, whose children are Angelina (living in Palermo) and Antonio. Anna Maria Cusimano, who married Gioacchino Failla. He died in 1963 and came to NY. They had at least one child, Annetta Failla. Unfortunately, I don't have a whole lot of information here as far as dates go. I don't suppose the combination of names could make it easier to learn anything about them. I think most of this family never emigrated to the United States, except the couple of cases I mentioned.

I keep my indexes of Italian towns in a notebook as I am researching them its a good practice The record online go from 1862-1910 There are a lot of your Cusimano relatives in Castelbuono heres the Nati (BIRTH) indexes by year and page number. The only thing I would ask in return is while you are researching fill in the marriage index and post your indexes of Castelbuono on here for others to use to use in researching If you need anymore help just ask There are films from Family History Library to get you back further Search Results for FamilySearch Catalog Italy, Palermo, Castelbuono - Census ( 1 ) Riveli di beni e anime, Castelbuono (Palermo), 1714-1816 Author: Sicilia. Thank you very much for all this. I've never had the time to properly use the indexes on the family search site. Does the page number in the indexes mean you only have to look at that one page for a name? And then go to the proper page in that book? Is that how you use it? Do the page numbers match the actual pages of the book?
