Lucia Ferrigno, Naples 1886/1887

Lucia is my 2nd great grandmother. I have her marriage to my grandfather Lorenzo Apuzzo confirming her maiden name.

I also found a ship log that correlates with the date she said she arrives on censuses.

I can't track her anywhere else... the earliest I have found her is on the 1905 census with her husband Lorenzo Apuzzo and son Alfonso (Fonzo on the census). Is there anyone who can help me track her? I would love to find out her parents' name.

You can send for the marriage certficate from NYC if you have not done so already.
That should list her parents' names and her place of birth.

http://www.nyc.gov/dorforms/marriagecert.jsp

Also... you posted the manifest, but it has no date. Can you provide one for the arrival?
Is that her mother listed on the line above her?

EDIT TO ADD:
Found the manifest - arrival in 1897?

ALSO found this NYS Census for 1915 - Could this be Lucia and son?
Residing with parents at 49th St. W.

Thank you so much for that link. I just ordered it.

Yes, the manifest is from 1897. She came with "BARBELLA CAROLINA" it looks like and ALFONSO FERRIGNO who was 5. They came from Naples, Italy.

No, that's not her, sorry. She was on the census with her husband LORENZO APUZZO at that time. She was on censuses with him from 1905 until 1940. The only way I was able to find out her maiden name was going off the marriage index.

She also had a sister Anna (nee Ferrigno) who married an Alfano De'Rosa. I've been unable to track her either.
