military records

Postby elmosgirl » 20 Aug 2013, 15:54

Are military records/enlistments/registrations at age 18/service records
from the turn of the century (1895-1905) kept in the particular State Archives
where the young men lived?

Or in specific comune archives?

Or both?

Where best to write for any/all of these?

Thanks for your help, as always.
