Finding family

Postby NYTripletmommy » 20 Aug 2013, 19:07

Hi! My name is Robin and I am looking for family that lives in Italy. In the summer of 1979 my Grandfather, Mother, Sister, Cousin & I all went to Italy so that my Grandfather could see home one more time. My Grandfather is from the Abruzzi region Lucca Nei Marci (not positive on spelling) and his last name is DiRenzi (but we understood his brothers last name was DiRenzo). There was our Uncle Mario, Aunt Maria, Cousins Vincenzo, Lorretta and another guy but I can't remember his name. I remember we went to Avenzzano to have dinner with the Mayor (?)
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You!
Robin

Hello,
the correct spellings should be "Luco dei Marsi" and "Avezzano".
You can go to www.paginebianche.it (Italian White Pages) and input surname in first blank field (nome) and town in the second (località) to see if you can get addresses of some relative.
Also remember that surnames such the one you mentioned are usually spelled "Di Renzo" (with a blank).
Giuseppe "Pippo" Moccaldi

Thank you for your reply. I found a family 32km away but I am not sure what the address would be. Again, thanks.
