Hello,
How very kind of you all to help us with this quest to determine our great grandparents identity. I am Rays sister Mary and from what you have given us with our grandfathers marriage certificate from Michigan I think we are safe in saying we know these grandparents to be

Mother's Name: Alawchi ALACCHI Here are the childrens names I have:
Anthony 1888
Ralph 21 May 1890 - Vallelunga-pratameno, Italy
Raymond
Loretta I was told she remained in Italy, Vallelunga
Josephine also remained in Italy
Sarah 1901
Sarah who married Rocco DeGrazia

Just to help cover all bases...
I am checking the birth indexes in Mussomeli for you...
No birth listings in 1888 and 1889 for Antonio Vincenzo Spoto - will check 1887 and 1886 just in case.

I believe that the birth record Laura :-D found is the correct one!

my goodness this is such amazing information to find here in your forum. We can not thank you enough. Much of what you have given me as documentation backs up the family oral information. My great uncle Ralph has used his name of Ralph(Rosalino)on a few documents in the USA. I always heard my ggrandfather was Joseph or Michael and his wife was Rosa.. With your information much of this is true and I would guess people sometimes used middle names instead of first names, this makes it confusing. I did not find death certificates in America and assumed they went back to Italy. I will try and digest all you have given me and let you know what else makes sense regardless, you have been most kind to give of your time and talents!

Looks like on Ralph's it shows Spoto as Spotto which could be a mistake.
Just like Giuseppi's name is Anthony Giuseppi from what we have found. So on most of the documents in Italy they show his middle name. They do this a lot in Italy it seems makes it harder to look up. This is why
When you say Loreta could be a middle name as well.

Thanks Marty and Teresa/Laura.

I have tried to put in order what you all have provided and totally confused at the
Index 7 above.
The one that talks about Cammarata "widower".......what is all that whose who?
This one is very confusing.
