Giovanni Cerasuolo family of Serino Avellino

Postby cerasuolo12 » 08 Nov 2013, 03:30

Hi, I am trying to find my great grandfathers family. His name was Vincenzo Cerasuolo and he had at least two brothers that came with him to America in the late 1800's. His parents names were Giovanni and Antonia (Viola) Cerasuolo. I have been told by a distant relative here in America that has done much research that she believes that he was from Serino. If anyone has any knowledge of this family please contact me. Thanks Cozette Cerasuolo

He settled in the Boston area and in 1904 he paid his betrothed's way over on Sept 11, 1904 her name was Giovannina or Giovanna (both were used) Salerno. Her parents names according to the MA marriage record were Nicola and Carolina (Clemente) Salerno.

Hi, I have been looking for information on a Carimali Cerasuolo who was married to Gaetano Grasso. They lived in Serino Italy. Her mother was a midwife who lived to be 107 years old. I think the year of her death was 1901. Carimali (this may not be correct spelling) and Gaetano had sons, Raffael, Gaetano, Carmen, Pasquel -and their was a daughter- I think her name was Carman.
Carimali and Gaetano were my great grandparents. My mother told me that Gaetano came to America first, the sons came to America later, one at a time, however, Carimali stayed behind with the young daughter. We have been trying to find out what happened to her and the daughter.
Does anyone know anything of her?
