Looking for information about Bandaccari family from Pariana

Post by ptimber »

There are no longer any bandacarri surname existing in Italy. The www.ellisisland.org records of entry into the uSA as immigrants has two and they are probably your relatives so go there and look up the ships manifest and make your copies. The name is not listed in the italian surname dictionary so it must have been very very local without origin and meaning. If I come across something I will let you know. Peter

Looking for information about Bandaccari family from Pariana

Hi to the both of you.
Peter, all the infos you gave were correct and useful, as usual. But you probably mispelled the surname. Bandacarri is not present in Italy, but according to the general Italian telephone listings there are three people or families with the surname Bandaccari. Unfortunately, none of them results to be living in Pariana: but they live in other village of the province of Lucca (Villa Basilica,2, and Camaiore, 1), which confirms the correct opinion of Peter about the \"very very local\" roots of this absolutely original surname.
Freddy, if you wants to get in touch with those people, follow these steps:
1) go to the web-site: \"http://elenco.iol.it\"
2) In the homepage, click on the Hyperlink \"Nomi e
Cognomi\" (=\"Given names and Surnames\") in the left menu
3) In the following page, type the surname of your
interest in the slot \"Cognome\" and then click
on \"Trova\" (=\"Find\").
4)You\'ll have a map of Italy with a report of the
presence of that particular surname in each of the 20
Italian Region.
5) Simply clicking on one of the regions, you\'ll have
the same report but limited to each of the provinces
of that region.
6) Clicking on one of these provinces, you\'ll have a
listing of all the towns of that particular province
where your surname is present.
7) Finally, clicking on one of these towns, you\'ll
have a listing of all the people or families with that
surname living in that particular town, with first-
names and addresses.

Hope this helps.
Ciao, Maurizio

Maurizio\" neither Elenco nor paginebianche have any listing for Bandacarri in the entire province of Lucca or anywhere else for that matter!!!!! Even when you check the frazione Pariana it turns out negative. Something is wrong here Maurizio...please double check. Peter

Freddy: I am very sorry but I cannot find any Bandacarri in the same indices that my friend Maurizio in Italy has found. Something must be wrong with the indices. Will you please check with the elenco and www.paginebianche.it for Bandacarri in the first line and LU (province of Lucca) so that all towns including suburbs of Pariana are covered. Also go to www.gens.labo.net as well. Excuse the difficulties. Peter

I just came across this post by way of an internet search of my surname, Bandaccari. My name is Larry Bandaccari, Jr. and I live in California. My grandfather, Alessio Bruno Bandaccari made his way to San Francisco by way of ship around the horn of South America. I was always told that there is family still in Italy, Tuscany region. Many years ago his brother came to visit us. His name was Giovanni.

Wow, I am still stunned about finding this...I have much more information however not off the top of my head. I will visit back here to explain myself further...

Bye for now...
