Laurenzana 1750 census?

Postby willperone » 14 Jan 2014, 12:16

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck finding if the mid 1700s census for Laurenzana in Basilicata exists? Many of the smaller surrounding towns have it (http://www.italyworldclub.com/genealogy/catasti/catasti_basilicata.htm) and I have viewed some of them in the Archivio di Napoli but at the time wasn't interested in Laurenzana. Maybe the town had a different name back then?

Thanks in advance,
- Will

The town name was the same then, Will.

I assume you mean the catasti onciario, Will. I haven't been able to get an answer to this either, and it would be helpful to have these records as well as 19th century census records. I relayed a question about this to the researcher we hired to search Laurenzana church records, but the only response was about the church's Stati de Anime.
