Surnames: Langiano, Lanciano, and Miele

Postby southerngal2870 » 01 May 2005, 21:28

I have been resarching my family tree for 4 years now. I have come to MANY brick walls, and can't seem to get past them.

I am researching any info on the surnames Langiano, Lanciano, and Miele from Cassino, Italy area.

Can anyone help?

Thanks! :D

Hi southerngal2870,

If you are researching from Italian documents, hopefully someone who has researched these surnames can help...

If it's American record information you are looking for, then there is a good chance that members of this forum could help.

Give an example of a brick wall and maybe someone can help you get over it.

Just remember to include year of birth, full names, spouse, siblings, children, American place where settled... etc....

Hi southerngal2870,

Here are the records from Cassino that have been microfilmed by the LDS church:

YOu can research birth, marriage and deaths from 1809-1900.

Good Luck

I might. I have done a lot of research on Cassino and some of the surrounding towns and have many of the microfilms handy at my local FHC. There are big gaps in the Cassino civil records from 1861 to 1945, but the challenges are not necessarily unsurmountable.

Also, some of my own ancestors had the surname Miele.

But I'll need more details on what and who you are looking for.
