Pia Piedimont/ Corella *

Hello,
After years of searching I found Pia under and maiden name (so I think) but her kids seem to have the same name as they came thru Castle Garden.

However the kids had the last name of Corella (sp varies) of this when lived in Boston and Milford MA.
Pia was pregnant on her trip here or very shortly after but married after her last son Joseph was born 6/1892 Boston MA. listing his father as Vito Donato Corella
She kept this name Piedimonte as her name when she bought her son Domenico grave in 1912 his father being Vito Donato Corelli. She married Vito DeCarlo in 1892 or 1893

My question is how would they come over all with the same last name? Piedimont ?
Any help would be great.

If she didn't marry until she got to America she and her children would all have her birth surname. Since Italian women don't assume their husband's surname on marriage she wouldn't have a problem giving her 'real' surname when she bought the grave instead of that of her husband.

Why would her four children assume the last name Corella here in the states? Which is also my last name which Im sure can not be the correct spelling..
I havent been able to trace where they came from in Italy because of all the different records.
