is there an 1881 index for trani births?

Postby carmenvalenziano » 17 Apr 2014, 19:02

my great-grandparents, guiseppe valenziano and marianna calefato married on august 15, 1880 - they had 2 sons - antonio and vincenzo, my grandfather - i figure antonio died after 1889 - i couldn't find a record of his death so i'm guessing he died between 1901 and 1910 - i went through all the births from 1882 to 1888 - i can't find a book for 1886 - is there an index for 1881 as i figure that's when he was born - thank you - carmen

that's what i'm doing - i just found out that my grandfather had a sister lucia that i didn't know about - http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... 8.jpg.html

so i guess there's still a chance that antonio was still born in 1881 - if i don't find him i'll have to check 1880

wish me luck

FYI - on her birth record is an annotation of her marriage on 28 January 1899 (#34) to Giacomo Ragno :-)

The index for 1881 is at image 118 (for the Vs)
Here is the link
http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... 3.jpg.html

ALSO... the date of Giuseppe Valenziano and Marianna Calefato's marriage was 4 September 1880 :-)
I believe you have the date of the Pubblicazione (Publication record for the Banns of Marriage) ...
Here is the link to their Matrimonio
http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... ewsIndex=0

It gives Giuseppe's birthdate as 19 June 1850; and Marianna's birthdate of 19 December 1853
His parents: deceased Antonio, and living Lucia d'Oria
Her parents: deceased Vincenzo and living Donato Tito

Here is the death of ANTONIO VALENZIANO in 1905 at age 19 :-(
That would put his DOB about 1886... the year that is missing!

REcord #186
Dated 5 March 1905, died same day at 1:05 AM
Age 19
Son of Giuseppe, peasant farmer; and Marianna Calefato, housewife
Antonio was single.

Yes, I see these coincidences (or are they?) quite often. :-)
