Looks to me like 482 or 487 :-)

However, when I searched through the morti, I found that numbers 473-508 were missing :(

Maybe they are out of order somewhere in the images?

From index of marriages 1827 (I was very lucky)
http://antenati.san.beniculturali.it/v/ ... 9.jpg.html
Benedetto Cellamare married Laura Maria Sinigaglia

He died on 20 June 1838

hi tessa

i have savino cellamare born about 1793 and his wife lucia baldasarre born about 1798

their daughter carmina was born in 1838

i went through all the marriages from 1816 to 1838 (some years missing) and couldn't find their marriage

i just started searching births in 1816 and found this

if so their marriage would have been in 1815

Just an FYI - If the bride was from a different town... the marriage USUALLY took place there. However, you might search the PUBBLICAZIONE because the banns would have been posted (and recorded) in both Comunes.

I will translate your posts now :-)

EDIT TO ADD:
Took a look at the birth in 1816 that you posted with mother listed as MARIA BALDASSARE.
There is no way to tell from this document if this is the person you are searching for. As you can tell from your searches there are many repetitions of names in the town.

tessa - i find that babies were named for their grandparents - paternal first - so since domenico is savino's firstborn savino's father's name would be domenico

This one is definitely Savino Cellamare and Lucia Baldassarre

Record #446
1 September 1819 at 3 PM at the town office
Appearing was Lucrezia Carbonara, 36, midwife residing in Strada Chiara, to declare that on the night of the 30th of the previous month of August, at 4 AM was born to married couple Savino Cellamare, 26, countryman residing at Strada S. Giacomo; and to Lucia Baldassarre, 20, a female child who was given the name CECILIA.

Comparing the two records...
The place of birth on BOTH is Strada S. Giacomo.
The age of Savino is 22 in 1816, and 26 in 1819 - that makes sense
HOWEVR< the age of mother was 20 in 1816 and 20 in 1819 --- while errors are often made with ages, this does seem strange.

Yes, very true. That is the Italian naming tradition.
But that is not enough to be SURE that this is the correct record. :-)
Always need to verify in some way.

[b]This definitely looks like the correct Domenico - age 3
Died 20 May 1819
Son of Savino Cellamare and Lucia Baldassarre
Home at Strada S. Giacomo

Record #265

This is the death of Domenico Cellamare in 1820, on 19 November at midnight.
Domenico was born in Trani and was 33 years old.
His residence is listed as Strada S. Chiara #6
Son of deceased Vincenzo, peasant farmer and of deceased Vincenza Filandino(sp?)
Husband of Giovanna Calafato..

Carmen :D

Here is the marriage record for Savino Cellamare and Lucia Baldassarre in 1815, on 21 December in Trani...

His father is Domenico, age 60, a countryman; and his mother is Beatrice Caruso, age 56, a spinner. They live on Strada S. Giacomo.

Lucia's father is Antonio, age 62, a grocer; and of Vincenza di Toma, age 56, a spinner.
They also live on Strada S. Giacomo

Both the bride and groom are identified as age 18, requiring the "assistance" and consent of parents at the marriage :-)
