Military Image

Hi All,

I have the following photograph of my great-grandfather and his brothers, but I don't know who is who. The brothers were living in Glasgow, Scotland in 1911 according to the Scottish Census, but the family was originally from Barga, Tuscany, and their parents never left Barga.

I am wondering if anyone can help me with info on the photograph based on the military uniforms? Do the stars on the collar represent anything?

Does anyone have any advice on where to search for any military records?
