hi tessa

i'm having a problem with maria giuseppa palmieri who married nicola valenziano around 1813

i don't have a marriage record as the records started after that

i looked up the children of their son antonio i came across their son emmanuele

so figured maria giuseppa's father's name would be emmanuele

i was all set to change my records when i found this one but the mother is different

i don't know which name to give maria giuseppa palmieri

which do you think?

Hello Carmen...

The marriage record you posted -
the bride's name was not Maria Giusppa Palmieri - it was ______ Rosa Palmieri
The groom's name was Pasquale Carbone.

In the death record you posted
The deceased was Maria Giuseppa Palmieri, widow of Giuseppe Carbone.

You will often see very similar names within a town.
If you need either or both of them completely translated, let me know.

Appearing was Giuseppe Fabiano, 36, peasant farmer residing in Trani; and Savino Galante, 24 peasant farmer residing in Trani, to declare that at 6:30 PM yesterday at the place at Via Solferino #44, died Maria Giuseppa Palmieri, age 84, spinner residing in Trani, born in Trani to deceased Emmanuele and to Maria Giuseppa di Venosa; both residents of Trani in their lifetimes; widow of Giuseppe Carbone.

BTW - the parents in the marriage record were the same as above... Could be that __?__ Rosa Palmieri was Maria Giuseppa's sister :-) [first name looks like it could be Aurora]

I did not notice if the parents of the grooms were the same...

If they were, then you are correct.

i can't access the trani website - is it going to be offline for days again?

my grandson came to take me grocery shopping

before i left i found that guiseppe carbone married maria guiseppa in 1863 so i can rule her out

my dilemma now is between two maria guiseppas - one that has a father named emmanuele and the other that has a father named giovanni

the emmanuele one is the right timeframe the other the birth date is off

going to have to sleep on this

thank you
