Engano and Ambrosino families from Sulmona, Italy

Postby nuremm » 29 May 2014, 22:06

Hello, I am looking for information on Giavana Engano who married Francesco Ambrosino in Sulmona Italy. I do not have any dates, birth, death or marriage. These are my great grandparents. My mother and I are going to Sulmona next May and would like to find records and visit their graves if possible. Any information would be very much appreciated. Thank you!!! Elaine

Can you give us an APPROXIMATE range of years of marriage for you GGPs based on the age of your mother's parent?

thank you. Their daughter Maria Grace Ambrosino (my grandmother) was born May 1, 1897 in Sulmona. She came to the USA on the Romany around 1905. So I would assume that her parents may have been born around the late 1860s or 1870s(?) and married around 1890-1896. They had four children, Maria, Incoronata, Salvatore and Augustino. Thank you for your help!!! Elaine

Here you will find some helpful links, including an email address for the City Hall.

Before visiting, you may wish to write to the town to request the records of your GGPs, and your grandmother :-)
