Salvadalena From Chiavenna Region

Postby Vincenzo_Salvadalena » 19 Jun 2014, 00:27

I have done extensive research (as best as I'm able as I am an amateur) and cannot find hardly any relatives or records for my surname. Is it possible that it evolved from another surname once my ancestors reached Ellis Island? And if so, what could possible former surnames be?
Thanks for your help, -Vincenzo.

Thank you Adelfio, this is a great start for helping me track down my linage. I haven't contacted this city before, but I'll certainly do so now. Thanks again.
