mother unknown for Vita (Camilleri) Nobile

Hello, I still am unable to find the birth mother of my grandmother, Vita Camilleri Nobile. Mother is not on her birth or marriage record. The father is Giocchino Camilleri Nobile, although Camilleri is not included on his death record. How else could I find the mother of Vita? Is there a way to access church records in the town, which is Bivona, Sicily? Could Camilleri be the surname of the mother?

Do her birth and marriage records just say that the mother is unknown? In particular, what does the birth record say about the mother? Did the father report the birth? Does the record say that the parents were unmarried and that the mother did not appear with the father to report the birth?

Does the father's death cert not list a spouse, or does his spouse have a different name? Does the birth record have her father's age? You could look for his marriage or birth records. Or vital records for siblings of your GM.

Does her birth record actually state that her father's surname is Camilleri Nobile? If not, that is, only your GM's surname is a compound name, then it is possible that her mother's surname was Camilleri. Or Gamilleri, Cammilleri, Gammilleri, Cammillieri, Gammillieri, etc.

Vita was born June 1, 1871& on the Birth record it says "Mother chose not to be listed" & on her marriage record it says "Mother Unknown" as seen in the record(s) posted by Adelfio...
