Is this your GF John/Giovanni Domino.... died in 1983 at age 94 in Suffolk, NY?

Giovanni Domino
United States Social Security Death Index

Given that most of the addresses (before residing in Suffolk, NY0 were in Brooklyn, NY...
I checked the NYC marriage index for a listing from 1910 (year of John's arrival) through about 1915. Did not find one.

If nothing else turns up, you can request a copy of your grandmother's Social Security application form.

See http://genealogy.about.com/od/online_re ... equest.htm for details.

Age: 32
Marital Status: Married
Race: White
Race (Original): White

Relationship to Head of Household (Original): Head
Birth Year (Estimated): 1888

Father's Birthplace: Italy
Mother's Birthplace: Italy
Household Role Gender Age Birthplace
John Domino Head M 32 Italy
Josephine Domino Wife F 34 Italy

Tony Domino Son M 4 New York
Carmela Domino Daughter F 1 New York
Joseph Arrone Boarder M 34 Italy

Tessie was born in Italy and immigrated in 1915 with mother.... finding Tessie Domino (Teresa Domino) ship's manifest we can know the mother maiden name also... but my opinion is that Josephine was widowed when married at John... so maybe Tessie was born from her first marriage

Hi: Why don't you request a copy of your grandmother's NY death certificate? It will list both her parents names.

Not entirely reliable. I have seen death certificates that were missing one or both names and others that had an incorrect name.

The social security application form is more likely to be accurate since the person him/herself filled in the application and typically at a time when both parents were still living and thus there was little doubt as to their names. :)

In any event, the OP seems to be hoping for a free or ultra low cost solution. Unfortunately, sometimes the only way to move research forward is to spend some money.

Hopefully the grandmother lived long enough to obtain a ss number. Good luck in your research.
