Isabello (Isabella) and Pro (Pio) families

Postby Flickster » 15 Aug 2014, 02:21

My husband's grandfather, Domenico Vincenzo Isabello, was born 3 Nov 1877 in Avigliana, son of Andrew and Mamie (maiden name unknown). He emigrated in 1904 to the United States. At the time of his death on 12 Sep 1939 in Pennsylvania, his obituary stated that he had "four brothers and five sisters in Italy". I'd like to find his mother's maiden name and the names of his brothers and sisters.

My husband's grandmother, Angelina Pro (Pio) was born in La Canavese on 26 Feb 1891. Her parents were Louis Pro (Pio) and Maria Bago. I believe that Louis was born in France but am not sure of that. Angelina emigrated to the United States in 1910 and exactly one year later, she was married to Domenico and giving birth to the first of their 7 children. Angelina's mother and a sister emigrated in time for the birth of Angelina's first child. At the time Maria Bago Pro emigrated, she stated that she was a widow. I'd like to find the parents for both Louis and Maria as well as the date of death for Louis.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm brand new to researching international records other than from the British Isles and have no clue how to proceed. Please take pity on me :D
