Pietro Zippo & Maria Filomena Vigilante

Postby cmamoros » 14 Sep 2014, 18:47

I am helping a great granddaughter of Pietro Zippo (born 1864/Naples Italy & Maria Filomena Vigilante (born 1875/Avellino/Italy). Filomena may be the daughter of a Florentino Vigilante & Maria Glova, both from Avellino. If anybody has come across these names, we'd appreciate any info and/or guidance on how to get info on them.
Thanks

Since you are starting out may I recommend the book which you can borrow or purchase and is titled: Italian Genealogical Records by Trafford R. Cole which is an easy read and will familiarize you with Italian genealogy with illustrations and translations of common documents like birth, marriage and death certificates which you can request from the town of origin of the people you are researching and is free of charge. Once you are familiar with Italian genealogy you can then be able to achieve your research objectives. I am sure you will find this information is helpful. Peter
