Postby rp76226 » 04 Oct 2014, 18:38

Please translate the key facts of this document:

Note this is different than a previous Puma-Ippolito translation request. This is the brother marrying the wife's sister.

Dated Sept 12(?)-the year does not show on this record (it would be on a record further up on the page)

Marriage of Calogero de Puma and Vincenza Ippolito
banns were on the 22nd, 24th, and 29th of Aug and resulted in no impediments to the marriage

Groom: Calogero di Puma, son of deceased Carlo( de/di Puma) and deceased Caterina di Costa, who were spouses when they were alive.
Bride: Vincenza Ippolito of deceased Giacomo and living Maria Volpe, also formerly spouses.

Witnesses were Raffaele di Giglia and Francesco Tinebra

Your'e welcome, Ron. I'm multi-tasking, but should be back shortly with the other translation.

On the question of year of the marriage, I thought the number 1800 on the top heading after the word that looks like Die was the year.

Ron

After the word Die is the number, which I believe is a 12 followed by 7bris (which is the month of Sept). The year doesn't show on this record. That's why it's important to keep the entire page with these Latin church records.
