How can I narrow Google searches

Postby rp76226 » 11 Oct 2014, 04:56

The problem with Google, Bing, and the rest of the search engines available to us is that they focus on each word separately that you input, and not the entire subject matter as one "entity" search. For instance if I put in a person's first and last name with a title (for example Padre Alfonso Puma), instead of giving me only the results that have all three words connected, I am given every Puma, every Alfonso (even if not a Puma), and every Padre result that they could find. You get thousands of meaningless results that are too overwhelming to go through, instead of a few relevant results that you can actually use. Is there a way to focus these search engines on the entire subject matter as one subject instead of focusing on each word or name as a search subject?

Put quotation marks: "Padre Alfonso Puma"

Thank you. That worked.
