Postby itzmelo » 06 Jul 2005, 04:55

Hoping to connect with family members this fall on our first trip to Italy. My Father & Aunt emmigrated via oceanliner in the 20's with my Grandmother, who won the right to leave Italy in one of Mussolini's lotteries.
Grandmother was Angela Segalla
Grandfather was Giovanni Sandona
Thank you for any help or suggestions!

Hi Ronnie,

we are cousins.

Giovanni SANDONA married Angela SEGALLA in 1914 in Chiuppano, a small village close to Caltrano.

Giovanni's eldest brother, Antonio, born in 1882 in Caltrano, is my grand-grand father. His son Attilio was a chair-maker, emigrated to France in 1925. I am one of his 3 grand-children.

If you read this, tell me what you know about Giovanni SANDONA & Angela SEGALLA and their sons/daughters. I only know 2 of their children, Emma (1916) and Angelo (1920). It seems that they left to America around 1921.

Regards

Olivier Aubert (son of Anna SANDONA)
