Death records - maiden name or married?

Postby Robin B Mc » 12 Feb 2015, 21:16

When looking at death records, were married women recorded by their maiden name or married name? Because I noticed on passenger lists, Italian women seem to go by their maiden name so I wondered if that was the case in death records too.

Deaths were recorded under their maiden name.
