Non-Italian search help/ideas for Chudkosky Family

Post by rp76226 »

Looking for the wives, children, and grandchildren of Nicolas Chudkosky (1920-1984, wife Olga ?) and Walter Chudkosky (born about 1925). Their younger brother Joseph (1927-2009) was my uncle but he didn't talk about his family and his children know little about them. Their parents were immigrants Michael Chudkosky (1897-1963) and Michelina "Margaret" Marszycka (1895-1930). Michael re-married Maria Lucniak (1905-1980) after his first wife died and had two girls Helen and Rita with his second wife.
Ancestry.com, Rootsweb, Familysearch.org, Ellis Island, Census, and Message boards at best find residency information on people who may be Nicholas and Walter, but just not confirmable. Any other ideas on where to search?

Have you tried looking at the military records (specifically, WW II Draft Registration) for these two? These might offer some additional clues.

I had the 1930 census. The wife is from Hungary, not Russia and her immigration year is listed as 1920, not 1913. I cannot find her actual immigration record, but seemingly the year is wrong since she married in 1919 in Manhattan. Really looking for her children Nicholas and Walter as adults with wives and children and grandchildren. The 1940 census with the misspelled names was a nice find. The boys were left in an orphonage by the father after the mother died. As to military records, is there a link because I'm not finding them in Familysearch.org or other places except for the veteran's gravesite on Nicholas and Joseph. Walter may still be alive.

yes in 1930 census: Mike born in Russia, the wife born in Hungary; Mike immigrated in 1913.. no doubts.. it is ok..
