Help reading/translating

Postby forestmaiden71 » 07 Aug 2015, 01:36

Hello! I have this photo that was my grandmother's. Her parents came from Italy (sadly the language wasn't passed down at all) and when I was going through some of her old photos I found this. I cannot read Italian at all, and my sister-in-law (who is from Argentina) can't make it out either.

Sadly I didn't get into genealogy until after she passed, and I know little to nothing about her relatives in Italy. Any help reading the back of this photo would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

I send you this photo of me with my brigadiere (a military rank, I think like a sergeant) and my colleagues taken near our barracks.
With much love

Thanks so very much! Yes, that does help! I'm guessing that it was taken in the 1940s or so...but I'm not sure.
