The Family History Center has some microfilm for Brescia, but it's limited to Church records. No Civil Records, therefore, you will have to write to the town itself for information on your ancestors.
Thanks for your answer .
You should know I went to Brescia just three weeks ago. We went to the Ufficio Anagrafe and they helped us out the best they could. They had all sorts of very old handwritten papers that learned us a lot. It was a pity we weren't allowed to make fotocopies. SO we wrote things over(as fast as we could). No one mentioned a microfilm...
What I know now is:
Antiono Quaglieni born 13-12-1771, died 30-04-1857 , married to???
As far as we know:
Antonio , born 09-06-1815 in Brescia , died 09-03-1992 (maybe also in Brescia??) . He was married Amalia Gasparini born May 1818 and died in 1882.
They had for sure 4 children:
Ernestina born 24-10-1851 in Scotland
Aldagisa born 14-10-1853 in London
Edoardo born 16-08-1857 in London (my ggrandfather)
Antonio born 02-08-1862 in London
There were more childeren or sisters/brothers/nevues etc on the papers they could have been also childeren of Antonio and Amalia but ...??
Giuseppina born 13-07-1833
Sebastiano " 14-02-1838
Clementina " ?? 1841
Maria " ?? 1843
Giovanni " 01-08-1845
Edoardo (my ggrandfather) was married to Teresa Grassi and had 4 children"
Bruno Maria born 14-11-1900 died in 1932
Giorgio born 08-08-1894
Amalia Carolina born 01-01-1896
Antonietta Maria Aldagisa (or Aldagia) born 16-10-1897
Pff that's a lot of informationas I read it back.
The Quaglieni family (from 1815) was a circus family and travelled trough the UK Scotland, Ireland etc etc. A few members of the family went to the USA and worked for Barnums and Bailey's. That is information I've got form the galloper website (circus and also geneology research).
But I'm stuck now and have to look for new resources.
So any help is welcome and I thank you for that.
It is even possible that PierFranco is a far relative.
Can I ask you another question?
Antonio Quaglieni from 1771 was not born in Brescia. How can we get to those resources? Milaan perhaps??
Again, thanks a lot for your info!!
Regards, Rita Quaglieni

and explane that you are an descendant in foreign country of Italian Quaglieni circus artists, and you need, for personal use, of this document photocopies: "26 ricevute "Nuovo Teatro Diurno Musi. Introito della rappresentazione" relative agli spettacoli delle Compagnie Chiari, Chiarini e Quaglieni (dal 3 giu. 1847 al 22 ago. 1847)"; also you will say that you want to pay the photocopies.. Perhaps are not more info in this documents, but is always an trace (this documents are the 26 receipts of shows in Parma in 1847) ... regards, suanj
