Palmieri / Cassello Alife

Postby ms_mary58 » 03 Oct 2015, 16:53

I am seeking any information about my grandfather, Frank Palmieri, from Alife, born 12 July 1893. His mother was Filomena Casello or Filomena Palmieri, I am not sure which because there was some "scandal" involved, as his father was married to someone else. He had brothers Mussemino and Pasquale, and possibly other siblings as well. Any information would be appreciated.

Hi, in Alife, on 1893 births no a Francesco Palmieri was born; ditto on 1892- 1891-1890-1889 and 1894.
I found in Alife on 2 Jun 1891 #41 the Birth of PALMIERI Marcellino son of Nicola 30 old, farmer and of Filomena Iannotta..

I believe that this record could be abt your "Musellino"..

I believe the word before Filomena's name is nubile (unmarried) and that the surname Palmieri came from her.The mother was Filomena Palmieri. No father's name is given. I believe it was she who was the daughter of deceased Raffaele. Someone else can look over the notation to confirm what I am deciphering.

BTW, what Marty was reading as Colasso ? is "col neo cognome" -which translates to "with the new surname"

Wow, it seems she was a busy lady! I can pick out the names referenced above, but can you tell me exacty what this document is? And when it says the daughter of the deceased Raffaele, would that be Raffaele Palmieri, or is there another surname referenced?
