Jean or Giovanni Revelant in Genova

Postby krash142 » 31 Oct 2015, 22:12

My 3x great grandfather Pietro Pagnutti's mother was a Revelant, born in Genova, and listed on vital records as Antonia after the year 1871 at latest, until her death in 1886. Her father was listed as Giovanni Revelant on Antonia's death record. However, all of the records in Genova were French from the years I searched, from 1795 to 1812. Antonia was born in about 1811, likely listed as Antoinette, and Giovanni, listed as Jean, married Anna, listed Anne, between 1806 and 1811, most likely. I would like to see these records, meaning the birth record and the marriage record. Antoinette's birth record is in Genova, Jean and Anne might have married in France. Anyway, please send an image, or an extract of any record of the Revelants in Genova, as they were extremely rare.

I did, in fact, but I cannot read the French all of these records are in. Thank you for the suggestion, though

By a first look, searching in the birth indexes from 1809 to 1812, I don't found Antoinette Relevant.. maybe she was born before of 1809?
Best regards,

Thank you. I didn't find her there either. It really is quite confusing. I'll try to find Jean in the censuses for the other towns in Genova.

I was unable to find him, so if anyone at all could find ANY information on him whatsoever, even the death certificate of one of his children, on which he would be listed as Giovanni, if he had multiple with his wife Anne, who would be written as Anna.
At least one child went to San Daniele del Friuli, named Antonia (Antoinette) and married Nicoló Pagnutti. I believe that he had multiple children in addition to Antonia went to the Udine region. Again, ANY INFORMATION WHATSOEVER would be appreciated.

I don't know why Genova came up on your search, because Revelant as a well Reveland are in Friuli region especially.. maybe Antonia was born in Gemona (Friuli) and someone read Genova instead of Gemona?
Just a suggestion,

Thank you, I had no idea that the record could have said anything other than Genova. I am very excited to find such a development with your help. :D

Now that I know that Antonia was born in Gemona, I could use a bit of help finding the marriage record of Giovanni and Anna. I can't find it, and I really don't expect any of you to find it, but I would really appreciate it if you could help me. According to Antonia's brother Giacomo Francesco Revelant's birth record, Anna (Tondaro), their mother, was 18 years old in 1807. This means that Giovanni and Anna were likely married in early 1807 or anytime in 1806. Please help me find this record. Thanks!

hi,
maybe the Anna maiden name spell could be Londero also... and no Tondaro as I read initially..
just a my suggestion and precisation...
abt marriage, the records on line starting from 1806 and in the Gemona marriage's indexes, I no found .... so maybe they married in 1805...
regards,
suanj
