Angelo Macor's death

Postby krash142 » 23 Nov 2015, 02:43

Angelo Macor died in San Daniele del Friuli after Sep 1890, but I couldn't find his record. If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated. He should be listed as the widower of Anna Perini.

Hi there

I had a look through both sets of indices available online to 1900, but nothing there, that I could see. I “suspect” he died after 1900? He was still alive in 1896 when, at age 63, he married Anna Gallino, aged 41.

ANGELO MARCOR AND ANNA GALLINO:

Marriage Bann No 30: Angelo Marcor (widower of Anna Perini his first wife) and Anna Gallino

Prospective Groom: Angelo Macor, 63, peasant farmer, residing S.Daniele del Fruili, son of the late Giuseppe and the late Pasqua D'Affara, both residents of S.Daniele del Fruitli when living.

Thank you, I never would have found this on my own! My main goal here was to find the names of his parents, I can't believe you did it! Now I can step farther back in my history!

Wonderful! :D

You are most welcome. I was hoping to be able to go back further. Often the allegati have the groom's grandfather included as well, but the allegati I have located here for Angelo and Anna don't seem to include this. The online records from Angelo's date of birth in 1832 to 1870 are not on line yet, so I haven't been able to locate Angelo's parents' death records, which may have given more info. I did look at the death indices from 1871, just incase they were both very young when they had Angelo but I could see nothing there. I guess what you could do now that you know Angelo's parents is to go through the records watching out for Angelo's syblings. You might strike it lucky and find marriage allegati for syblings which contain more information. I have just recently been able to go back further in my own history this way. All the best.

I found Angelo's father's birth certificate, and Angelo's paternal grandparents' marriage certificate. Sadly, I could not find Angelo's father's maternal grandmother's maiden name by any accounts whatsoever.

I could not find the birth record of Angelo's mother. I believe she was born in a different town, I will look for her death record.

Hi there

How do you know for certain that it is Angelo's father's birth certificate?

He was the only man born with the correct name in an appropriate time scale.

But Angelo's father's name was Giuseppe.

Angelo was born in 1832. The online records begin at 1810. I see two Giuseppe Macor's born in 1810. Because we don't have any info yet, telling us who Giuseppe's parents are, we can't be certain which of those Giuseppe's born 1810 are Angelo's father. We can't even be sure yet what year Giuseppe was actually born in.

A simple typo. Regarding the duplicate, I will check it out. Should the father's name be Angelo, this will be what I go by, as Giuseppe's son Angelo is likely the eldest child.

I've been put in quite a position. I don't know what to think now. I can't get my hands on Giuseppe's marriage certificate, maybe his death but certainly not his marriage.

This is quite an assumption. In genealogy we never assume anything. Do you really know for certain that Giuseppe followed the Italian naming pattern? Do you really know that he didn't have a child/ren before Angelo?.... and so on.

You've got me in lecturing mode today
With genealogy, slowly, carefully and double check everything is the best way to go. Everything should match up before you add anything to your tree, otherwise you may end up doing someone else's research for them. It's a real learning curve and there are so many fanastic skilled genealogists on this site very happy and willing to help. Let us know how you get on and where we may be able to help.
