Are you sure he died in 1813 in San Daniele? I can't read the name in none of the indexes (or maybe I didn't read carefully enough).

It is certain. His name is a bit below the middle of the index. The surname variant back then was Pagnutto

I cannot find a Gregorio in the link above, which contains names beginning with the letter "S". I went to the image that has the "P" surnames (image 25) and there are 3 Pagnuto but there is no Gregorio.

How embarrassing! My intention was to find the death record of Giovanni Pagnutto.

Reading across the line in the index for Giovanni Pagnutto...
He was born 10 September 1813 and is Act #12 on page 2 of the register.

HOWEVER, I have been unable to locate it.

It's a little confusing, he died on 10 September 1813 and I am reading that there should be a part II but there isn't. Anyways here is the Death Record for Giovanni Pagnutto. It is with the Villanova records.

Death Record Giovanni Pagnutto: http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... ewsIndex=0

Angela

Edit: I've had a quick look at the record and this Giovanni Pagnutto, was a three year old. If that is correct, it might not be your Giovanni Pagnutto?

Incorrect- ANY Pagnutto is one I am searching for. Perhaps it is not the specific one for which I am searching, but as a direct patrilineal descendant of the Pagnutto family, I am always searching for any surname connection, especially considering the fact that I am one of perhaps five currently living members of the Pagnutti family, one of three in the United States. The other two are father and son Canadian hockey players Rick and Matt Pagnutti of Ontario.

Anyway, this Giovanni was not even in possession of the name I was looking for- that belonged to his father Gregorio. Any death record pertaining to a Pagnutti over the age of forty, in fact. Those are extremely rare as the Pagnutto family has always had a very tragic record of young deaths.

Again, any death record pertaining to a Pagnutto aged over forty.

Thank you!
