The handwritten document is a copy (issued Nov 2 1932) of the birth record of Sebastiano Cagnazzi, born in Sanfele on Oct 18, 1873. His parents were Errico Cagnazzi, 27yo, shoemaker, son of uncertain parents, and his wife Filomena Prtezzi(sp?) daughter of late Pasquale.

The typed document is a letter, dated Oct 17 1934, from the Italian Vice Consulate in Buffalo New York, to the priest Pasquale Troncolone in Buffalo New York, asking him to deliver to the involved people the above birth record, because no one sowed up the fetch it.

Thanks Marty.
A new member, mmogno, sent me a private message with the same link pointing out that In the actual birth record the mother's surname is definitely Fierri, and the farther's name is spelled Enrico.

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1 ... cc=1483052 Does this give any insight into who Enrico was? I am confused as to how if the letter says "son of uncertain parents" how did he get the last name of Cagnazzi.

it is understood that, maybe, Elisabetta was the biological mother...
