My surname came from the Veneto region, and i want to find their origin. I have some hipothesys
, such as: a) the surname is German originally (tote) and received by variations countries now. b) is a surname of Venetian origin (totane) that may have come from outside the region. c) north of the origin of England (totten), toponymic, the totton village. which in 1086 was recorded as Tovetune in the Domesday Book.Of any external influence of Italy, i would like an opinion on search Venetians surnames and variations, because i am not finding any registry of Tottene in records of Venetians surnames.
