Looking for Antonina Bilello's Residence

Postby sacesta » 20 Apr 2016, 22:59

I truly appreciate all of the help I've gotten from several members of this site in the two months since I've joined.

I have one more query.
Attached is an excerpt from the civil birth record of Antonina La Rocca.

I'm having difficulty reading the place of residence of Antonina Bilello and I need to know that in order to locate the Marriage Records of Domenico La Rocca and Antonina Bilello. I'm also not quite sure what is written in script in the highlighted section of the record.

she was living with him (con esso)- meaning "her husband in Montevago"

da esso dichiarante di anni come sopra di professione come sopra domiciliato come sopra (from this declarant (referring to Domenico la Rocca) di anni come sopra (age as above-trenta) of profession as above (villico), living as above

Hope this helps

You're very welcome, Steve. Interesting is that the oldest sister of my grandfather, born in Santa Margherita di Belice in Agrigento Province like him, was married to a Bilello. Her husband Francesco Bilello went to Argentina and, after the birth of their daughter, Antonia Bilello in 1895, she, her daughter, and father, went to Argentina to meet up with her husband. My grandfather's sister than had 8 more children in Argentina. The daughter Antonia Bilello married a man by the name of Santos Nicosia and supposedly died in Argentina in 1987.

One never knows, Steve. I've only been able to find the marriage record of my Antonia's parents in Santa Margherita di Belice which indicates that her father Francesco Bilello was born there and also that his parents, Paolo Bilello and Antonia Cattano, were residents there. I haven't been able to find his parents' marriage record or his birth record though. I was hoping to confirm where this Bilello family originated, but still haven't. I'll let you know, if I trace them back to Montevago.
