I searched from 1843 to 1870 and no marriage record in Valenzano... you are sure abt his marriage, or he remained single?

Hum! That's a good question! I don't know if he did get married? Could you try his brother - Giuseppe Donato de Vivo? (b. 26 October 1829)
I don't have a death date for Rocco either...so maybe he died young?

I had Nicolantonio's marriage...but is Natalizza another sibling? I didn't know about her! If it's a sibling, does it have how old she was when she got married?

Thanks so much!

Thanks again! It's exciting to find new people!

I believe this is the death record of your Michele DeVivo-

http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... ewsIndex=0

Death of Michele DeVivo in Triggiano at the age 87 on April 17, 1887, in the house on via Dante. He was a carpenter who had been born in Giovinazzo, but was a resident in Triggiano. He was the son of deceased Nicola (DeVivo), a carpenter, who lived in Giovinazzo when he was a alive, and the son of deceased Nataliza Buovino*(sp?) who lived in Giovinazzo, when she was alive. He was the husband of Isabella Caringelli.

*Bonvino is a surname in that town.

Yes! That is my Michelangelo! Looks like he married again? I didn't know that. Good info! I'll have to see if I can find more about her!

And the info on Nicolas death was great as well! I didn't have that!

Thank you both! This is great!

Here's a May 21, 1881 marriage of a Giuseppe Luigi DeVivo in Triggiano. He is the son of Michele DeVivo and Isabella Caringella (there is an "a" at the end of her name in this record, which I find is the current spelling of the surname). Giuseppe was age 24, a shoemaker, born in Bari. He had never before been married. He was a resident in Triggiano, the son of Michele, a carpenter, also a resident in Triggiano and Isabella Caringella, a spinner, resident in Triggiano. The bride was Anna di Franzo, age 23, a spinner, born in Triggiano, the daughter of deceased Giovanni (di Franzo) and dec Francesca Paola Carbonara.

This record helps narrow down the year that Michele married Isabella. This son Giuseppe would have been born about 1857. Also, if he was born in Bari, then that might have been the location of Michele's marriage to Isabella.

***I just checked Bari marriage indices for the years 1854, 55, 56, and 57 and don't see the marriage of Michele to Isabella.

I checked marriage indices in Giovinazzo for the years 1853 to 1858 and don't see the marriage of Michele to Isabella there.

marriage was Sept 1, 1854 in Valenzano in the parish church of the town.

http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... ewsIndex=0

Michele DeVivo, widower of Anna De Filippis, was age 55. He had been born in Giovinazzo, was a carpenter living in Valenzano. He was the son of dec Nicolo` De Vivo, an artiere* and dec Nataliza Buonvino, both who had lived in Giovinazzo. The bride was Isabella Caringella, widow of Francesco Tangorra, age 42, born in Valenzano but living in Triggiano. She was the daughter of deceased Vito Santo Caringella, who lived in Valenzano when he was alive, and also of deceased Carmina Giovannelli, who had lived there.

*** I just found a link explaining the distinction between an artiere and an artigano and I need to review it before I can give you an exact definition of the occupation.
