Teano Birth Records (Santa Maria Capua Vetere)

I am trying very hard to find my great grand-father's birth records from Teano. His name was Alterio Ucci, and was born in Teano in November 24 1895. He came to the states via Boston in 1909 and naturalized in 1932 (and changed his name to Arthur Ucci).

I have found the microfilms that the LDS have online, but they are next to impossible to read. Can anyone help point me in the right direction!? I don't even know from whom I can request a birth record; Tribunale di Santa Maria Capua Vetere has nothing on their website.

Oilman19, who hasn't posted in 4 years, accessed these records for someone else years ago and successfully found their birth record. Does anyone have any suggestions?! I'm so close it's driving me crazy!

Father: Luigi Ucci, 36, farmer residing in Pugliano, via Borgo
Mother: Margherita De Fusco, his wife, farmer, residing with him
Child given the name Alterio

Does anyone know the best way to order an official record from Teano for this?

I've emailed Stato Civile several times and I haven't gotten a single reply :\

You best bet is to send a letter of request in Italian.
Include a photo ID, and your email address (and of course, your return address)
Send no money until you hear from them.

If you need this official record for citizenship purposes then ask for an 'estratto in plurilingue'. Other wise you will just get a piece of paper with the basic information. The link Tessa gave you is much more informative for genealogical purposes and even if you request a photocopy you will only get what Tessa has already given you.

Do you know if I should send to Santa Maria Capua Vetere or should I send to Teano? Again, I'm a little frustrated because I have emailed like four or five different addresses for both SMCV and Teano with no response. I'm worried that if they won't answer an email they won't answer a letter..

Your letter is fine but in my opinion you are giving too much information that they don't need or care about. Use the KISS method works for me.
