Hi Essgee,

It is hard to read. I think this is part of the document.

di gentiori della sposa = of/from parents of the spouse (bride)
quali sono interventi al = which are participations to
presento ? ? di

Thanks Debbie.......

that is definately one word I could not make out...

Any idea what follows what appears to be the word espresso in the third line from the bottom.........?

It appears that the concent of one set of parents has been given....which I think is the jist, it is just the end of the written paragraph that I cannot make out at all..............

You've been a great help......Thanks bunches.....

Hopefully Suanj will see this. She really is a blessing when it comes to translating, especially the handwritten pars.

Hi Essgee,

If you can send me the page directly, I might be able to read it better. This is what I think it states.

consent of the bride, which they are participants to the present act and who give their affirmative consent. we second the request.

I didn't see the last part so this message was edited.

I hope this helps

Thanks.....but my 13 year old uploaded that image earlier.....and I don't know how to do it.......gosh, I am getting so old that things that should be easy are light years away........

Guess my ignorance is showing all around!

Actually, the rest of the marriage record is very readable...it was attempting to make out the words as they were written. I think that the affirma la cosenso was the wording I could not make out.

Usually the parents of the bride and the groom must be present to make affirmation that they concent to the marriage. In this case, I believe one set of parent was dead...so that would mean consent by different means, or substitutes of the parents. This is a friends document she e-mailed to me to see if I could make out the words... and I couldn't so I went to the place where I knew I could get help............

Thank you all...I really appreciate it. You are all the best!

tra loro progettato sotto l'af... dei genitori della sposa i quali sono intervenuti al presente atto affine( al fine) di dare il loro assenso a forma di consenso quanto già dichiarato.... the meaning of mfjp and Trish is right .. regards, suanj

Suanj, could it be "... sotto l'assistenza dei genitori..."?

Just my two cents.
