Santoro & Stella

Post by ajpowell »

I am looking for relatives on my husbands side. His Grandparents were Thomas and Anna Santoro from an unknown location in Italy.

Joseph and Concetta (Consetta) Stella (Maiden name Bosco) from Floridia, Sicily. arrived in New York maybe 1920's with children Mary, Anthony & Victor.

Interesting. Here is a manifest, but there names are crossed out, so they should be on another manifest.

Oct 28,1920 Nearest relative in Italy to Concetta is father in law Antonia Stella. They are going to Giuseppi Stella, Cornelio Ave, Winstead CT.

I am having trouble with Ellis Island tonight. Sometimes images can't be viewed.

Giuseppe made several trips. On these manifests his name is crossed out, so there should be another to replace it. But they are valuable, they give names of who he is going.

For Thomas and Anna Santora from unknow place in Italy. I would suggest starting with the census to get an estimated date of immigration. Where in the US did they live? Names of children? Approximate year of births? This will help identify your family in the census. Once we have an approximate year of immigration and date of birth it will make it easier to find a passenger record.
