D'Onofrio in Solapaca 19th century

Postby pharlem » 19 Sep 2016, 23:42

Augustus, Ermion and two other brothers, as well as a mother and sister immigrated to USA in late 1800s, early 1900s. Ermion visited Solopaca in the early 1900s. Any information would be appreciated. There must be a way to access church records for example? I have the names of the mother and sister. The sister, in the birth process, was deprived of oxygen and was dependent upon others all her life.

Civil records for Solopaca can be found on microfilm (not on line) for 1809-1860 at www.familysearch.org. You have to order them and search them at their centre. It looks like you might need to access records after 1860, in which case you need to write to the town for these later records first. There are tips on searching the films and translations on my website..
